The women came back to the tomb and they found the stoned rolled away from it. They were perplexed and two man appeared to them in dazzling clothing and they said to the women; Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has rise.
They said to them, remember the words He told you, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. So they went to tell the others. These words to some appeared to be nonsense and they didn't believe.
But Peter got up and ran to the tomb stooping and looking in, he saw the linen wrappings only; and he went away to his home, marveling at what had happened. Luke 24:1-12
Truly the resurrection of Jesus Christ is something to marvel at. Because of what He endured and suffered on the cross by bearing the weight of our sin, we can stand forgiven before almighty God. His Son paid the penalty, the punishment for our sin. Punishment that we deserved. But God being rich in mercy and grace sent His only begotten Son to save us.
As we celebrate the resurrection, Him being raised from the dead, we can and will be raised with Him when He comes back and what glorious day that will be.
I pray that you are marveling at the work that our Savior did. No one, not you, not me, would have been able to do what He did and what He accomplished.
HE IS RISEN!!
