About Purify

Why Purify My Heart?

There is a great song which I absolutely love the words to. It’s called Refiner’s Fire. This song just brings a fresh reminder of what I desire to be in Jesus Christ. My heart desires to be holy, set apart and ready to do His will. I want Jesus to cleanse me from within just like David mentions in Psalm 51:7a : “Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean”, David is asking for deep heart cleansing and uses hyssop to symbolize that, since it is a common cleaning agent.

Even though trials come our way, our faith is being tested, shaped and molded through fire, just like gold, so that we can be refined. So that our faith in Him will be genuine. In James 1:3 says: “that the testing of our faith produces endurance.” So that at the end we can rejoice because of the salvation we have in Him.

In Luke 6:45 says: “The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasures brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.

I want my heart to be filled with his Word. I desire that what comes out of my mouth would be edifying and encouraging to others and that it will ultimately Glorify and Honor my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Let's seek Him together in purifying our hearts with His truth. Every day is a new opportunity. His mercy is new every morning. So join me in this journey of life as he purifies our hearts and refines us like gold.
